  • Eclectus roratus vosmaeri (Rothschild, 1922)
    – N & C Moluccas from Morotai S to Obi.
  • Eclectus roratus roratus (Statius Müller, 1776)
    – S Moluccas (Buru, Seram, Ambon, Haruku, Saparua).
  • Eclectus roratus cornelia (Bonaparte, 1850)
    – Sumba (W Lesser Sundas).
  • Eclectus roratus riedeli (A. B. Meyer, 1882)
    – Tanimbar Is.
  • Eclectus roratus aruensis (G. R. Gray, 1858)
    – Aru Is.
  • Eclectus roratus biaki (E. J. O. Hartert, 1932)
    – Biak I (N Geelvink Bay), NW New Guinea.
  • Eclectus roratus polychloros (Scopoli, 1786)
    – New Guinea and adjacent islands and archipelagos (Kai Is, W Papuan Is, Mios Num and Yapen, islands in extreme N Torres Strait, Trobriand Is, and D’Entrecasteaux and Louisiade Archipelagos).
  • Eclectus roratus solomonensis (Rothschild & E. J. O. Hartert, 1901)
    – Admiralty Is (from Manus) through Bismarck Archipelago and Solomon Is (S to Makira, but absent St Matthias Is, Nissan and Rennell).
  • Eclectus roratus macgillivrayi (Mathews, 1913)
    – extreme N Queensland (E Cape York Peninsula), in extreme NE Australia.
    Introduced (polychloros) to Banda Is, Gorong Is (off SE Seram) and Tayandu Is and, in
    Micronesia, Palau; perhaps also other races (nominate, possibly solomonensis) introduced
    to Palau.
